How do I buy from this website?
Browse our products and designs using the section links on the
left. When you have found a design you want to order, simply enter
your registration number and personalisation text (if required)
and click 'add to cart'. The first time you buy from Pink Plates
you will need to register. This only takes a few seconds, then you
can continue with your payment...
How can I pay?
You can pay using your credit card, debit card or even your PayPal
/ Ebay money. All transactions are made over a secure server so
your details are perfectly safe. Please note, you DO NOT need a
PayPal account in order to pay with a credit or debit card. Just
select 'Pay By Credit / Debit Card when on the payment screen.
Can I pay by cheque or postal order?
Sorry, no.
How long will my plates take to arrive?
We aim to process all orders within 24 working hours. However, you
should allow up to 5 working days for your plates to arrive
allowing for postal delays.
What if my plates arrive wrong or damaged?
Don't worry. In most cases we will send replacements as soon as
you tell us. There is no need to return the plates, unless we ask
you to do so. We may ask you to take a picture of the fault so we
can show this to our supplier.
I cannot find the size or design I want?
Email Dan and explain what you need. We will try and help by
suggesting someone who can supply the type of plates you want.
How much is delivery?
We do not charge for delivery for orders delivered to the UK
placed via this website.
Do the number plates come ready to fit?
The plates will be all made up with your design, registration
number and message (if required). All you will need to do is fit
them on using the fitting kit supplied with your order.
How do I know the plates will fit my car?
Our plates will fit any car that already has standard sized oblong
plates fitted, measuring aprx 520 x 111mm.
Can I change my order once it has been placed?
We do try and process all orders as quickly as possible. If you do
spot an error with your order, or want to change something, we can
only suggest you email us asap. This can only be done prior to the
order being processed. Please do not assume that sending an email
is a guarantee your changes have been made. Only if we reply
confirming your new details can we take responsibility for
ensuring they are done.
Can I collect my order from you?
No, sorry. This is a web only service. Your plates are usually
made in the Channel Islands, and shipped direct to your address at
no extra cost.
Can I send my plates back?
No, sorry. All plates are made to order and we regret cannot be
returned for exchange or refund as they are personalised with your
own information.
Are show plates road legal?
As number plates can only be purchased from a high street retailer
(as you have to show various forms of ID), when purchased online,
they are classed as 'Show Plates'. As the details requested by the
customer, and the vehicle they are being fitted to cannot be
verified then they have to be sold as 'for off road' or 'show use'
only. Also, many websites offer hard to read fonts and complicated
designs. Pink Plates do respect this law, in addition to
appreciating that millions of motorists want an alternative to the
boring designs offered by their local car accessories shop.
Therefore, we only supply plates featuring a UK LEGAL STYLE of
font and all plates are made by an experienced number plate
manufacturer who will make your order using the same parts and
components used to make legal number plates.
It is important that we stress you specify the correct
registration number and space it appropriately too. If not sure,
please refer to your registration document. We also advise you to
retain your original number plates for future use.
