Disabilities/DDA
|

|
I
have total empathy for people with a disability
and am aware of the adjustments that are
required when treating a client with a
particular condition.
I
am fully trained and have worked with blind and
visually impaired people who are most welcome
with a companion.
|
I
also have first hand experience of deaf and
deafened adults and profess to be a good lip
reader and am lip-readable to those who are hard
of hearing. I truly understand the isolation and
fear that those with a hearing loss face every
day of their lives.
Whilst I cannot use British Sign Language
yet (BSL), I can finger spell.
Tinnitus
– those people suffering with this condition will know
how distressing and upsetting it is not least of which,
it can drive you crazy and overtake your life.
Regrettably there is no known cure for this yet
but it is proven that stress can certainly make things
worse. However,
there are things you can do to help manage tinnitus
better. RNID
suggest alternative therapies* would help you to relax
and whilst I cannot magic the noise away, I can
certainly relax you through a reflexology treatment or
course of treatments.
Why not give it a try?
*
If you choose another therapy for tinnitus, please steer
away from Hopi ear candles.
Putting a burning candle in the ear could
potentially be very damaging to the ear.
This is also the recommendation of RNID.
